Starting a stick shift car uphill without rolling back first.

I recently came to the realization that how to properly take off uphill when driving a manual transmission may not be common knowledge. However, worry not — once you understand the technique and get some practice, it should not be an issue for you any longer!

Here is how you do it:
1. Pull your handbrake.
2. Get in first gear.
3. Now slowly, gently, let go of the clutch and give some throttle — this may take some practice
4. Once you feel the car pulling you let go of the handbrake and off you go!
